Maharishi Vedic Architecture utilizes ancient Vedic principles to design buildings with proper Vastu—proper orientation, placement, proportion and materials.

What Is Vedic Architecture?

Have you ever walked into a home and felt immediately comfortable and happy, or visited a different home where you couldn’t wait to leave? Every building has an influence on its occupants. Maharishi Vedic Architecture uses ancient design principles to create homes that bring health, happiness and good fortune.

Maharishi Vedic Architecture

When it comes to natural homes, earth-friendly design and materials are just a first step. To create the most positive influence, deeper and more universal principles of Natural Law must be considered.

There are fundamental patterns and relationships found everywhere in Nature—from tiny molecules to massive galaxies. These same structuring principles are used by Vedic Architecture to design homes, offices and cities that promote success for the people who live and work there.

“Because the individual is cosmic, everything about individual life should be in full harmony with Cosmic Life. Maharishi Vedic Architecture gives dimensions, formulas, and orientations to the buildings that will provide cosmic harmony and support to the individual for his peace, prosperity, and good health—daily life in accord with Natural Law, daily life in the evolutionary direction.” —Maharishi

Four Pillars of Maharishi Vedic Architecture

Four main principles are considered for every building—orientation of the building, placement of rooms, the proportions, and natural building materials.

Orientation—Every house faces due east or due north, and is oriented exactly to the earth’s equator and the axis of the north and south poles.

Placement—Each room in the home is carefully placed to resonate with the different energies of the sun as it moves across the sky.

Proportions—The mathematical proportions of the house and each room are calculated according to ancient Vedic formulas.

Natural Materials—Natural and non-toxic materials are used to avoid the hazards of toxic materials and construction methods prevalent in modern architecture.

Take advantage of the time-tested design principles of Maharishi Vedic Architecture in your home and office, and enjoy a new level of stability, comfort and success in daily life.
