What Is Vedic Education?

Vedic Education is Consciousness-Based education, education that develops the consciousness of the student—the knower—and awakens total brain functioning through the Transcendental Meditation technique. Students grow in the ability to achieve anything as they enliven the unlimited creative potential within their own consciousness.

Maharishi Consciousness-Based Education

Education that fails to develop the knower is not complete, since it provides only intellectual knowledge. Consciousness-Based education is complete, because it enlivens all aspects of knowledge—the knower, process of knowing, and known—and systematically develops the total creative potential of the student’s brain.

Research confirms that Consciousness-Based education increases creativity and intelligence, improves memory and learning ability, and raises a student’s IQ and academic achievement. Students who practice the Transcendental Meditation technique take greater interest in academic activities, develop increased self-confidence and self-actualization, and display higher levels of moral maturity.
