In the United States, the Transcendental Meditation technique is taught through the Maharishi Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Maharishi Foundation certified teachers of the TM technique not only have many years of experience practicing the technique, they have also successfully completed an intensive 5 month in-residence Teacher Training Course, developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the TM program, and maintain their certification through ongoing professional courses for TM teachers.
Only by learning the Transcendental Meditation program from a Maharishi Foundation certified teacher can you be assured of receiving the authentic Transcendental Meditation technique and gaining access to all the advanced programs of knowledge and experience that have been structured for your benefit by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Mary learned Transcendental Meditation in 1968 and became a teacher of the TM technique in 1972. She has been active in San Diego as a teacher of Transcendental Meditation for 41 years and she is currently the Director of the Transcendental Meditation program in Clairemont, San Diego.
She also teaches child development for San Diego Unified Schools. She wrote her master’s thesis at San Diego State University about newborns born to meditating and non-meditating parents. The abstract of this study found significantly longer periods of a quiet alert behavioral state in meditator newborns and has been published in the Fifth Volume of the Collected Papers about Transcendental Meditation.
Mary is a mom, grandmother and enjoys organic gardening and sewing. She is currently completing a joint doctorate at SDSU and Claremont Graduate University and hopes to write her dissertation on the changes in infants born to military mothers learning to meditate.
“The TM program provides wonderful results right from the start, which continue to accumulate through the years. It is my great delight and privilege to be able to bring these benefits to others.”
