Only certified TM teachers can provide instruction in the authentic Transcendental Meditation technique.
In the U.S., the certification of TM teachers is available exclusively from Maharishi Foundation USA, a federally-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization. Certified TM teachers have successfully completed an intensive 5-month in-residence Teacher Training Course, and they maintain their certification through ongoing professional courses for TM teachers.
Zanna Feitler learned the Transcendental Meditation technique in 1969 and became a TM teacher in 1972. Her certification as a teacher of the TM program is included in her B.A. in Education from Antioch University. Zanna has taught the TM program in high schools, colleges, and to the general public from Maine to Ohio. Her hobbies include gardening, sewing, travel, and foreign languages, and especially world music. She met her husband at the International Folk Dance Club at MIT, and they now have two grown sons.
“Teaching the TM technique fulfills my childhood dream of helping people awaken to their own inner potential and beauty. I love every aspect of teaching, especially meeting people — whether they are requesting information on the TM program, just learning, or taking advantage of our lifetime follow-up program.”
Thomas J. Murach is the Director of the Transcendental Meditation program for Northeast Ohio. He has been practicing the TM technique since 1973, and became a TM teacher in 1975. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Ohio Northern University, and in 2005 he was awarded an honorary Doctorate in World Peace from Maharishi European Research University. In addition to teaching the TM program, Thomas owns a small boutique, in which he sells healthy products including Maharishi Ayurveda Herbal Supplements. He is also an avid cook, and enjoys traveling, poetry, and spending time with his friends.
“There is nothing in life that compares to the fulfillment I receive from teaching and practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique. This program is priceless.”
