In the United States, the Transcendental Meditation technique is taught through the Maharishi Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Maharishi Foundation certified teachers of the TM technique not only have many years of experience practicing the technique, they have also successfully completed an intensive 5 month in-residence Teacher Training Course, developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the TM program, and maintain their certification through ongoing professional courses for TM teachers.
Only by learning the Transcendental Meditation program from a Maharishi Foundation certified teacher can you be assured of receiving the authentic Transcendental Meditation technique and gaining access to all the advanced programs of knowledge and experience that have been structured for your benefit by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
A certified teacher of Transcendental Meditation (TM) since 1977, Louise Allison has conducted courses at the National Institutes of Health, the World Bank, USA Today’s Health Club, and at colleges and universities throughout the U.S. Louise holds a BFA in ceramic art from Maharishi University of Management and an honorary doctorate in world peace in recognition for her 30 years of teaching the TM program and participation in international programs for world peace. Louise is an active member of the Laguna Beach Women's Club and the Laguna Beach branch of the American Association of University Women. She enjoys art, poetry, music, being with like-minded people, and especially like-minded women.
“I have a special interest in helping empower women and girls from within. We women are the mothers of men and women, and we hold the keys to educating and enlightening all mankind. If we are awake to our own inner bliss, peace, and power, everyone we touch will be blessed and our communities will thrive.”
Larry Allison began practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique in 1974, and became a teacher of the technique in 1978. He received his B.A. in Psychology from CSULB in 1986, his M.A. in Psychology in 1993 from American University in Washington, DC, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1996, also from American University. After working as a therapist and director of training in a university setting, Larry started a private practice in Newport Beach in 2002. In 2004, he began teaching the TM program in Coastal Orange County, with his wife Louise. He enjoys surfing, writing, and playing guitar.
“It is a joy to witness the meaningful changes that become evident in my students’ lives after a very short time of TM practice. In my experience, TM is the most powerful psychological tool for creating positive transformation in an individual.”
