Only certified TM teachers can provide instruction in the authentic Transcendental Meditation technique.
In the U.S., the certification of TM teachers is available exclusively from Maharishi Foundation USA, a federally-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization. Certified TM teachers have successfully completed an intensive 5-month in-residence Teacher Training Course, and they maintain their certification through ongoing professional courses for TM teachers.
Joshua is a native New Yorker and has been practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique since he was 16. He became a TM teacher in 2005 after studying film production and working for six years in the film industry. Joshua has taught the TM technique in high schools, businesses, and homeless shelters, projects that he has found extremely fulfilling. He enjoys bringing peace to his hectic hometown of NYC.

Ralph has been a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation technique since 1986. He received a bachelor's degree in physics at Maharishi University of Management. Prior to coming to New York City he was the director of administration of the Washington DC/Bethesda TM Center, and before that he was Director of the TM Center in Pittsburgh, PA, and has taught TM in Philadelphia, PA, in Omaha, NE and in Lancaster, MA. He is delighted to be living and working in New York City.

Donna graduated from Harvard with a degree in philosophy and moved to New York City to study modern dance. She ended up working in the field of children?s books, where she spent the next three and a half decades publishing award-winning books for children of all ages, preschool through high-school, fiction and non-fiction. During that time she practiced the Transcendental Meditation technique and credits it with giving her the empathy, courage, and stamina to collaborate intimately with writers and illustrators across many changes in the field and in popular culture. In 2005 she decided to take a six-month, in residence, immersion teacher-training course in order to become a teacher of Transcendental Meditation and gain a deeper acquaintance with the tradition from which TM comes. Since then she has instructed almost one thousand people in the technique and derived enormous pleasure from doing so.

John studied philosophy and psychology at The Evergreen State College, and at Boise State University. After learning the Transcendental Meditation technique, he transferred to Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, where he studied Maharishi's science of the full development of human consciousness?the Science of Creative Intelligence. His desire for full enlightenment led him to a program for men designed and guided by Maharishi, to develop the experience and knowledge of the transcendent offered by the Vedic tradition. John spent fifteen years in this advanced program, the last seven in the Himalayas. He then returned to the U.S.A. and worked developing business website backends. He completed his training to teach the Transcendental Meditation technique in 2014. He loves people, skiing, pottery, walking, nature, friends and family, cooking, teaching meditation, sharing wisdom and bliss.
Rita was born in Ukraine and lived there with her family until moving first to Israel and then the United States. Rita learned the Transcendental Meditation technique in New York City when she was fourteen, and then attended Maharishi University of Management — a university where all students, staff, and faculty practice the TM technique. She studied philosophy with emphasis in Maharishi's Vedic Science. Upon graduating in 1983, she became a teacher of the TM technique.
