Helen has been the National Director of TM Wales for 21 years.

She began her career as a Science teacher in 1970 after graduating in Biochemistry at Cardiff University. Within a few years, she was so enthralled by what she read about Maharishi Mahesh Yogi that she learned to practice Transcendental Meditation and became a TM teacher. By now, she has taught thousands of people in both Wales and the South of England.

In the late eighties, Helen returned to school teaching and retrained to teach children with learning difficulties. She became Head of Department at a busy boarding school in Oxfordshire, returning to Aberdare, her hometown, to look after her ailing parents in 2001.

Since being appointed National Director in 2005, Helen has run TM teaching from her home in Cardiff. She has run many retreats and weekend courses over the years and been involved with many projects within the TM Movement, most notably a project to teach TM to children with learning difficulties.

Helen is a trustee of the Spiritual Regeneration Movement and one of only four advanced technique teachers in Britain, responsible for Wales and the West of England. She has also trained as a practitioner of two healing techniques: Vedic sound/light therapy and Gem light therapy.

Despite her advancing years, Helen continues to be as passionate as ever about teaching people to meditate. "It is so fulfilling to see people transform in front of my eyes as they reach a state of deep relaxation and peace of mind. There is no other technique that can bring these results and many more so quickly and efficiently.

Everyone who learns notices how much more relaxed and integrated they feel, even after their first meditation. One man quoted, "I have no words. It's out of this world!"
