John Divita learned the TM Technique in 1971 and the TM Sidhis Program in 1977. He attended Teacher Training in 1979 at Livingston Manor, New York and in 1980 at Arosa, Switzerland. He completed the Teacher Recertification Course in 2018 near Vlodrop, Netherlands. He teaches TM in Vancouver, Washington. For him, teaching TM is his most gratifying and fulfilling occupation.

John completed a BA in psychology in 1970 at UC Berkeley, CA and an Elementary Teaching Credential Program in 1971 at Chico State University, CA. He taught in a preschool in California from 1971 to 1973. He completed the UBCJA Carpenter Apprentice Program and received his Journeyman's Certificate in 1977. He tested for and received the California State Class B General Contracor's License in 1981. He returned to school to study engineering and in 1986 completed a BS degree in engineering at UC Berkeley, CA. In 1988 he completed his Masters of Engineering degree at UC Berkeley, CA. He received his California State Civil Engineering License in 1991. He worked in construction and engineering in California from 1989 to 2005. From 2005 to present he has been engaged in real estate investments in Washington state.
