Martin Sproul received his BA Cum Laude from Harvard College in 1976 and his JD from the University of California Berkeley School of Law in 1979. He was admitted the State Bar of California in 1980 and practiced for over forty years, litigated several cases to verdict, and engaged in advocacy before Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court. He served for twelve years on the board of the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and for five on the board of the California Institute of Integral Studies. He has pursued postgraduate studies in traditional medicine of India and Asia (Ayurveda and TCM), integral psychology, and trauma therapy. He enjoys yoga, section hiking the Sierras, and teaching and writing about poetry.
